Adjunct Associate Professor
David Matthews curates the GrainGenes database, a resource for genetics and genomics of small grain cereals.
GrainGenes focuses on genetic maps, QTLs, molecular markers, sequence and phenotypic data from wheat, barley, rye, oat and related wild species. As a public reference database, it integrates published information from many sources and makes it available to users worldwide. My activities include adding new datasets and continually improving the interface to make the users' data of interest more findable.
